Men's Association
The Men's Association was formed and organized in 2007 with the purpose to provide competition, camaraderie and organized events for Pete Dye River Course members only. Annual fee of $60 is required for membership. This fee includes registration for VSGA Handicap and additional member services provided by the association. The Men's Association "Hole in One Club" is optional for members and registration is required with the association secretary.
Hunter and Hannah Claim Crowns
PGA Professional John Norton presents David Hannah with award following his triumph in the Mens 2009 Senior Club Championship held the last week of August.
Radford, Va. - Griffith Hunter and David Hannah claimed respective crowns this past weekend in the 2009 Men's Club Championship and Senior Club Championship held at Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech. Hunter fired rounds of 70-68 for an event record 6-under par 138 to claim the regular division crown by 7 shots over Brandon Linkous. The Senior division was won by Hannah with a score of 76-83 for a 159 total and a one shot victory over defending champion Bobby Swain. Over 40 players participated and a total of 6 flight winners were awarded. Below are the final results:

Linkous and Yuhas Team Win 2009 Member-Guest
The team of Greg Linkous and Mike Yuhas scored a 66 to win the Pete Dye Flight in the 2009 Men's Member-Guest on the weekend of August 1st and 2nd. The event was shortened to 18 holes due to heavy rains on Sunday morning. Mr. Larry Thomas was also a "BIG" winner as he won a lag putt worth 2 home game season tickets to VT Football in 2009. Arthur claims 2009 Member/Member
Radford, Va. Ralph Arthur of Radford, Va. saved his best round ever at "The River" for a most opportune time. Arthur shot a gross 82 for a net score of 65 to claim the 2009 Member/Member on Memorial Day. With his personal best round Arthur claimed top prize of over $200 from the prize fund. The round included a net finish of eagle, par, birdie to claim top place honors. Arthur was quoted to say, "I owe it all to a putting tip I received from Loopy Price this AM". Other highlights were Tom Lesperance from Salem had 5 net birdies and an eagle.
